Running Audits
navable uses an industry-standard accessibility engine combined with AI-powered rules to scan your web pages for WCAG accessibility violations. Audits can be run on-demand per URL, in bulk, or on a schedule.
Starting an Audit
Single URL
In the Accessibility Overview → URL Management tab, click Start Audit on any URL row to audit that specific page.
Bulk Audit
Select multiple URLs using the checkboxes in the URL table, then start an audit for all selected URLs at once.
What Happens During an Audit
For each URL, navable executes any configured interaction steps, loads the page in a real browser environment, and runs accessibility checks against the selected WCAG standard. Results include violations, passes, and suggested fixes. Each URL is audited across all active browser profiles.
Monthly Audit Budget
Your plan includes a monthly audit budget shown in the Monthly Audits card on the Accessibility Overview:
- The progress bar shows used vs. available audit runs.
- When you reach your limit, you cannot start new audits until the next billing cycle.
WCAG Standard
Use the WCAG Standard for Audits dropdown on the Accessibility Overview to choose which standard to audit against (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA).
Real-Time Progress
While an audit is running, the Last Audit Run section on the Accessibility Overview updates in real-time showing status, completed/failed URLs, and completion time. Results are available as each page finishes.
